The Beijing Winter Olympic Village, located on the south side of the National Olympic Sports Center in Chaoyang District, is one of the largest non-competition venues for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, with a total construction area of ​​approximately 386,600 square meters. It mainly provides accommodation, catering, medical and other services for athletes.

Before the games, it will serve as accommodation for participants in the Beijing competition zone of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. After the games, it will continue to operate as public rental housing for high-end talents, serving the capital city.

The main body consists of 20 apartment buildings with 13 to 17 floors, with the highest one having 17 floors and a building height of 60 meters. The underground is an integrated garage with a total of 3 floors. The overall structure is an underground reinforced concrete structure and an above-ground prefabricated steel structure building.

In the Beijing Winter Olympic Village project, NAN LONG undertook the exterior decoration curtain wall engineering for apartment buildings and commercial buildings.

The design concept of the Beijing Winter Olympic Village residential area is based on the courtyard form of Beijing Siheyuan. The 20 buildings enclose 6 to 7 courtyards, of which there are 2 relatively large courtyards, and the remaining buildings each form a small courtyard. Through the changes in enclosed and open spaces, a sense of community belonging is formed where "every building has a garden and every household has a view".

The two central green areas are equipped with garden landscapes, incorporating elements of the "Ice Playing Picture" from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Greening and solar thermal equipment are installed on the roofs of the buildings, which are both beautiful and can provide heat sources for 24-hour hot water; light guides are laid on the upper part of the green area to use sunlight for garage lighting; 5G signals are fully covered in terms of communications; and there are corridors connecting the underground space between the residential area and the opposite square area, making it easy to reach various commercial supporting spaces .

 

1. Project Overview

The Beijing Winter Olympic Village project is located on the south side of the National Olympic Sports Center in Chaoyang District. The project structure is a reinforced concrete frame shear wall with a construction area of ​​174,500 square meters, including 112,300 square meters above ground and 80,200 square meters of external curtain wall area. The building height is 52.35 meters.

The Beijing Winter Olympic Village project has a variety of curtain wall forms, distinctive features and unique design.

Main exterior curtain wall decoration types:

Prefabricated unit curtain wall windows, framed glass curtain walls, aluminum veneer opening sashes, interlayer stone moldings, large-surface stone, stone decorative columns, stone decorative column grilles, interlayer aluminum plate molding curtain walls, large-surface aluminum plate curtain walls, facade metal decorative grilles, ceiling metal decorative grilles, glass railings and car ramps, etc.

       In the Beijing Winter Olympic Village project, NAN LONG undertook the exterior curtain wall decoration project for the apartment building and the commercial building. The apartment building has stone curtain walls and curtain wall windows below the second floor, and aluminum curtain walls and curtain wall windows above the second floor; the commercial building mainly has stone curtain walls and curtain wall windows.

The building facade has a variety of shapes. The opening fan is invisible, and the outside is decorated with vertical blinds. The corners of the building are arc-shaped, whether glass or aluminum. The building exterior aluminum plate uses two main colors, bone white and golden yellow. Through the changes in the color of the building panel materials, the changes in the shape, and the combination of metal plates and glass, the building complex is more dynamic and enhances the modern sense of the building.

2. Curtain wall engineering technology

  • Prefabricated unit curtain wall window ---First assemble the horizontal and vertical materials of the curtain wall window on the ground, then install it on the wall as a whole, and then install the panel material of the curtain wall.

Features: It can be mass-produced, the processing and installation quality is guaranteed, and the installation efficiency is high. The Winter Olympic Village project has adopted this new process and technology, creating conditions for the project to be completed with quality and quantity guaranteed.

  • Aluminum plate inward opening and tilting sash --- All the sashes above the third floor of the project are made of aluminum plate inward opening and tilting sashes, with 2mm thick aluminum plates inside and outside, and 100mm thick thermal insulation rock wool filled in the middle. Invisible screens are installed on the outside of the sash.
  • Stone grille ------ The podium and small commercial buildings of the Olympic Village project use a lot of stone grille design. There are three types of grille cross-section sizes, namely 200×100mm, 100×100mm, and 100×50mm. The 200×100mm cross-section grille is composed of two parts, the front end is 100×30mm thick stone, and the back end is 170×100mm aluminum square tube. The surface is sprayed with imitation stone, and the front end stone is connected to the aluminum square tube through a back bolt. Other stone grilles are all processed as a whole stone, connected to the grille backboard stone through a plug and a back bolt, and then installed on the wall as a whole.

  • Aluminum curtain wall ------Aluminum curtain wall Aluminum plate processing, in order to ensure the uprightness at the corners, some of the positive corners are treated with inward corners, so that the radius of the outer corner of the aluminum plate is smaller after bending, and the corners are strengthened.

The horizontal and vertical keels are assembled into one in the factory according to the opening grid size, and the unit frame is directly installed on site, and connected to the main structure with a three-dimensional adjustable connection method.
Panel Configuration The outdoor surface is 2.5mm thick fluorocarbon sprayed aluminum veneer, the indoor surface is 2mm thick powder sprayed aluminum plate, and there is 100mm thick insulation rock wool between the two layers of aluminum plates.
